Professor HONMA Hideo
Professor HONMA Hideo works in the Faculty of Engineering, Kanto Gakuin University, Japan. He has contributed extensively to the science and engineering of electrochemically-formed coatings on plastics, ceramics and glass materials. His major focus on the research and development in this field is to create novel functional materials by means of electrochemical methods. Although his papers cover a wide range of fields in the electronic applications, his main idea still lies in his research. His most significant works are those for electronic-circuit packaging. Using electrolytic and electroless deposition methods, he has achieved to create very sophisticated, highly functional coatings, and these new coatings fulfilled the industrial realization of high-density printed circuit boards. Prof. HONMA authored/co-authored over 200 original papers, reviewed 30 articles and 8 books in the field of electrochemistry, surface finishing and electronic materials.
He received technical awards from ECS, ISE, SFSJ and JIEP.
Prof. & Dr. YAMASHITA Tsugito
Prof. & Dr. YAMASHITA Tsugito works in the Faculty of Engineering, Kanto Gakuin University, Japan. His major research interests include fundamental theory and application of electrodics, such as charge-transfer, electrical double layers, kinetic parameter, deposition and dissolution processes. Other research interests are in the field of energy conversion, electrochemical analysis and corrosion control. Moreover, current work includes preparation of functional thin films, formation of amorphous/crystalline multilayer and gradient materials by electrochemical techniques. Current works also includes application of electrochemical measurement using impedance and scanning electrochemical microscope (SECM) to surface finishing.
Prof. & Dr. YAMASHITA authored/coauthored 145 original papers, 22 review articles and 15 books in the field of electrochemistry, surface finishing and materials science.
He received technical award from The Materials Science Society of Japan, The Surface Finishing Society of Japan and Japan Electronics Packaging and Circuits Association.
Prof. & Dr. TAKAI Osamu
Prof. & Dr. TAKAI Osamui is the Director of EcoTopia Science Institute and the Professor at Department of Materials, Physics and Energy Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Negoya University, Japan, and the visiting professor at Material Surface Engineering Research Center, Kanto Gakuin University.
Prof. & Dr. TAKAI Osamu was graduated in 1976 from Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, and was awarded Ph. D of Engineering. In 1992, he was promoted to Professor at Nagoya University after he had worked at the University of Tokyo and Kanto Gakuin University.
He has been engaged in research in the fields of plasma materials processing, synthesis of advanced materials, thin film processing and biomimetic materials processing.
He has published more than 400 papers and 20 books, and held 50 patents.
Now he is the First Vice President of International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS), and the Chair of the 183rd Committee on Advanced Water Science and Technology of Japan Society of the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
He organizes the International Symposium on Biomimetic Materials Processing every year in Nagoya, Japan ever since 2001.
Prof. & Dr SATO Yuichi
Prof. & Dr SATO Yuichi was graduated from Tohoku University, Sendai. He worked as Research Assistant at Department of Chemistry, Tohoku University from 1964 to 1969, Research Staff at Research & Development Center, Toshiba Corporation from 1969 to 1984, Associate Professor at Department of Applied Chemistry, Kanagawa University from 1987 to 1993, and Professor at Department of Applied Chemistry, Kanagawa University from 1994 to 2010 and visiting professor of Suzhou University in China from 2010.
Prof. & Dr SATO Yuichi received many awards in the past four decades namely “The Chemical Society of Japan Award for Young Chemists”、“The Tanahashi Technical Prize from the Electrochemical Society”、“ITE Yeager-Kozawa Award from International Technology Exchange Society” and “The Distinguished Award from The Committee of Battery Technology”. In addition, Prof. & Dr SATO Yuichi also published many important articles in major international journals.
Dr. Christopher Cordonier
Dr. Christopher Cordonier is currently working as an engineer at the Material & Surface Engineering Research Center of Kanto Gakuin University and interest of research lies in several fields related to plating and next generation of microelectronics technology. One area of his research involves establishing mechanism that can explain the behavior of functional additives in electro and chemical plating from a molecular orbital approach serving as a basis for development of the original functional additives designed by structure-function correlation. Another is direct hyper-fine patterning technology for selective metallization of predetermined location, which includes anisotropic growth, metallization of polymers, glass, water, metal and other unique substrates.
Before joining the group headed by Prof. HONMA Hideo he worked as a research engineer at the Central Japan Railway Company under the Nobel Prize nominee Prof. Akira Fujishima where he received technical awards for the development of super smooth photo-catalytic and other functional films based on anisotropic contraction of metal complexes in addition to discovery of a new low cost photo-catalytic material with unique photo-chemical properties for automotive and industrial self-cleaning glass. Prof. & Dr. Jiang Yijian
Prof. & Dr. Jiang Yijian was graduated from the Department of Physics of Beijing University in the year of 1984 and began to work in Beijing University of Technology after he was awarded the Master Degree. He got his Ph. D degree from Beijing University of Technology in 1990. From the years of 1995 to 1998 he was doing research in laser preparation new materials at Material Research Institute, Pennsylvania University. Right now he is Vice President of Beijing University of Technology and also a member of editorial board of several major journals in China.
Prof. & Dr. Jiang Yijian has undertaken and accomplished a dozen of research project both at national and provincial levels. He has received Second Prize for Scientific Research from Beijing Municipal People’s Government and a Prize for Excellent Educational Reform at the city level. In addition, he has published 100 papers in major journals both at home and abroad and got the patent right for two of inventions.
Prof. & Dr. Zhao Chenxue
Prof. & Dr. Zhao Chenxue currently works in Shanghai Jiaotong University and he is a supervisor of Ph. D program. He was graduated from the Department of Chemistry in Northwest University in the year of 1962 and was enrolled into the postgraduate program in the same year at Beijing Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science. In the year of 2002, together with his supervisor, he was awarded the First Prize of Natural Science at the National Level. During the years of 1980 to 1982, he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Chemistry of Utah University, U.S.A. In collaboration with the most authoritative chemist Prof. C Walling, his research was given the highest award by Department of Petroleum & Chemistry in U.S.A. in the year of 1984.
Prof. & Dr. Zhao Quanzhong
Prof. & Dr. Zhao Quanzhong was graduated from Northwest University of Technology in the year of 1997 and 2000, obtaining the Bachelor and Master Degrees there. In the year of 2003 he got his Ph. D Degree from Shanghai Institute of Optics & Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Science. He carried out research in Japan in the year of 2004 and in Germany from the years of 2005 to 2009. He has so far published 90 papers or given presentations, 40 of which are in the major journals in the world. Many of his papers have been quoted by SCI for as many as 400 times. In the past three years he was given the patent right for three of his inventions. In the year of 2009, he was awarded the Second Prize for his scientific research in collaboration with Zhejiang University, and his result of the scientific research was reported in “Photonic Spectra” and many of his papers were included in “Virtual Journal of Ultrafast Science”. Now Prof. & Dr. Zhao Quanzhong has been a reader of such journals as “Optics Letters” and “Optics Express.”
Prof. & Dr. Tang Yun
Prof. & Dr. Tang Yun was graduated from the Department of Chemistry of Tongji University in the year of 1991 and got his Ph. D Degree from Shanghai Pharmaceutical Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Science in the year of 1996. During the years of 1996 to 2000, he was doing post-doctorial studies at Karolinska Institute in Sweden. From the years of 2000 to 2002, Prof. & Dr. Tang Yun was a visiting scholar and conducting research at NIH and NCI in U.S.A. Starting from March, 2002, he began to work in a Bio-pharmaceutical Corporation, Canada, holding the position of Research Fellow in GlycoDesign Inc. and MDS Proteomics, taking an active part in the research and the development of new drugs as a member of the research team. Beginning from 2004, he has been a professor at Fu Dan University and now he is Associate Dean of School of Pharmacy at East China University of Science & Technology.
Prof. & Dr. Chen Xin
Prof. & Dr. Chen Xin is a Chair Professor at East China University of Science & Technology. He was graduated from Tsinghu University in 1991. He worked for four and a half years at Chinese Academy of Science. He published three papers in international journals and 21 papers in national key journals and 5 papers at the international conferences or symposiums. From the years of 1996 to 2008 he Houston University Advanced Material Research Center which is affiliated to NASA, U.S.A. and he got his Ph. D Degree in the year of 2000. From then on, he has published more than 20 papers in such journals as “Applied Physics Letters”, “New Journal of Physics”, and “Physical Review Letters”, many of which have been quoted by “Nature” for many times. In addition, he has delivered 18 papers at international conferences, was given five American Patent Rights for his inventions and he has independently compiled an international academic works.
Prof. & Dr. Liu Yan
Prof. & Dr. Liu Yan was graduated from the Department of Materials in Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1991. He was promoted to engineer in the year of 1994. Later he got his Master Degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University in the year of 2000 and Ph. D Degree from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Science. Staring from the year of 2008 he began to take the position of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Science. He has undertaken about ten projects at various levels and published more than 100 papers in various journals. Besides, he has been awarded a Second Prize for the Progress in Scientific Research at the Ministry Level and two Third Prizes for the Progress in Scientific Research at the Ministry Level and applied for the patent rights for eight of his inventions.
Prof. & Dr. Shou Yongxiang
Prof. & Dr. Shou Yongxiang is a Senior Engineer and an expert in the field of Measurement and Testing. He has been Director for Department of Technical Supervision for Chemical Industry in Shanghai, Assistant to President of Shanghai Quality & Technology Supervision Bureau and now he is Vice President of Shanghai Measurement & Testing Research Institute.
