On 23 October 2012, Mr. John Vickery, Registrar and Mr. Pat Coman, Head of Development from the Institute of Technology, Tallaght (ITT, Dublin) visited Shanghai Institute of Technology and conducted the discussions on the collaborations between the two universities. Dr. & Prof. Yinzhong Ye, Vice President of Shanghai Institute of Technology met with the delegation and signed the MoU with Institute of Technology. Representatives from the School of Electrical and Electronical Engineering, International Cooperation Division participated in the meeting as well.
ITT, Dublin is located in the capital city Dublin of Ireland and shows great strengthes in the displinaries such as electrical and electronics, mechanical engineering, and pharmaceutical indusrties etc. ITT, Dublin visited us twice in the early time 2012, expressed its strong wish to further cooperate with SIT in the fields of running joint programs, faculties and students exchange as well as the collaborative research. The signing of the MoU has demonstrated that the two universities has formally establishe the official relations, and both sides have reached the concensus on the joint postgraduate programs, faculties and students exchanges. By the time that the visit is finished, Mr. John Vickery expressed his sincere gratitute to the warm hospitalities extended by SIT and extended warm invitation to SIT to visit ITT, Dublin in the near future time.
